Christian Kastner is a clinical psychologist in advanced training to become a federally recognized psychotherapist.
Christian Kastner initially studied business administration at the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg. After several years working in international consulting firms, he earned a Master’s degree in Psychology from the University of Zurich. He completed his PhD in 2024 with a dissertation on “Synergies of Mindfulness and Humor: Development and Evaluation of a Humor-enriched Mindfulness-based Program (HEMBP).”
Since 2018, he has been counseling clients with a focus on anxiety and depression disorders as part of his postgraduate training in cognitive behavioral therapy and behavioral medicine at the University of Zurich’s outpatient clinic. Parallel to his psychology studies, he completed the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) teacher training and has been practicing mindfulness meditation for over 10 years.
His psychotherapeutic work is characterized by appreciative, authentic, and empathetic communication. He keeps the individual needs and goals of his clients in mind and develops sustainable solutions together with them.
